Creative Production opportunity in Norwich for refugees aged 16-25
Submitted by Nicola Freeman on Mon, 06/10/2008 - 12:05.
The Garage are seeking volunteers aged 16-25 with an interest in the arts.
Young refugees are particularly underrepresented in volunteering and
therefore we are particularly encouraging applications from young
refugees. We are currently offering the opportunity for young people aged 16-25 to create their own arts project which has an impact on their community.
This could be a film about the provision for young people in the area, or a
short play that tours round schools about healthy eating for example.
We are looking for young people to attend sessions at The Garage every
Tuesday from 7th October 6-8 and be part of the Creative Project team that
create and run this project. All participants can claim their travel expenses
for attending the sessions.
We are also looking for one full time volunteer to help run the project
who would commit to 30 hours per week but could claim up to £60 per week
expenses including travel, training, internet usage, food etc.)
