Following intense campaigning from friends and supporters, local charity volunteer Annociate Nimpagaritse from Burundi was freed from detention on Thursday 25th September, and was finally able to return to Sheffield after two weeks in various detention centres.

Although she has been released on bail, and the original date for deportation has been cancelled, no final decision has yet been made on whther Annociate will be allowed to stay in Sheffield and marry her fiancee Aime. For more information see her supporters' blog.
