City of Sanctuary

National Conference 2010

Our third national conference in Birmingham on 13th September provided plenty of eye-opening insights into the City of Sanctuary movement around the country. Participants from City of Sanctuary groups, refugee communities, faith groups, Universities and local government shared their experiences through a wide range of Open Space workshops, as well as exploring the potential of ‘Universities of Sanctuary’ for opening up higher education to people seeking sanctuary.

Notes from the presentations and workshops are available to download (under ‘Attachments’ below). To start off with, here is the film made by Swansea City of Sanctuary which was shown in the morning.
